On Thursday 20 October I'll be at the relaunched Apple Store on Regent St, London giving a talk / workshop about distilling ideas and images through reduction. I'll be working with iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to help illustrate how my working process involves taking on board a plethora of information, and how I reduce this information into 'simple yet sophisticated' illustration and graphic art. You can reserve your place here
'Draw a Line', a new 6-colour screen print on Matisse 200 gsm stock, 360x400mm, gloriously printed by Harvey Lloyd Screens in England, will be available to buy shortly.
There are two editions of 25, one edition will be available to purchase from my shop , the other will sent to a selection of past clients, or interesting companies / agencies I'd like to collaborate with in the future. These will be free of charge. If you feel you or your company fall into the latter category, please email to register interest.
Supplement cover artwork for GQ Germany. I've been working for GQ Germany for a good few years now and they're an absolute pleasure to work with.
Artwork for White Bear Studio's 'Bear In Mind', their first initiative in aid of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). For those in and around London, the Private View is at The Kitchen Table Projects, 87 Great Portland Street, W1W 7LU, Thursday 3 December from 6.30pm. Other artists involved include Noma Bar and Jean Jullien (apparently), so there should be some good work for sale with all proceeds going to the WWF.
This is a double page spread on a feature about cybercrime in Brazil. As always with Hüman After All, I was given a free reign over ideas and concepts. Weapons of Reason has a very strict colour palette to work with, which is a challenge I enjoy. Art direction from Paul Willoughby, who is always a pleasure to work with.
Hello and welcome to the new website for Adrian Johnson Studio. The shop will be open within the next few weeks (hopefully), where along with Basilicas prints I'll be releasing other limited edition artworks.
I'll be using this journal to publish news regarding ongoing projects, works in progress, and sketchbook work, along with random thoughts and commentary on matters of interest (well, to me anyway).
